Ive seen it done if by screen you mean the glass ontop of the screen and not the actual LCD.
Buy a plastic screen like lexan from a hobby shop
Open up the device
Make a copy of the broken screen on something like cardboard
Make sure it fits, and cut out the lexan with the cardboard stencil
Glue and but back together.
